Our Services

Edwards Smith Construction takes a different approach to custom building in the process of serving our clients. We don’t consider your home or commercial property a product as many others do. We believe true custom building is a service. We guide you through the entire process, counselling, educating and providing good, better, best options and the pros, cons and cost of each.

Custom Residential
and Commercial Building

To us, custom means using our extensive knowledge about residential and commercial building to help you filter through the thousands of options available (including technology, finishes, systems, etc.) to create a structure that meets your goals and, ultimately, is as unique as you are. You have many options. Our job is to understand what matters most to you.

We continue to raise the bar for ourselves and those we work with to ensure we are on the cutting edge when it comes to advanced construction techniques and evolving technologies. One example of this is our designation as a Phius Certified Builder– the first and currently only builder in North Idaho designated as such. We are pleased to include passive construction as one of the options available to you.

Passive House Construction

Passive construction takes a scientific approach to human comfort. In addition to being tremendously energy efficient, passive buildings offer a number of long-term benefits. They are exceptionally resilient – handling the extremes of nature better than traditional construction – and offer superb air quality. They are also ideal for clients who want their home to be built using products that are more sustainable and leave a lighter footprint on the earth.

Depending on your goals, you will find Edwards Smith has the knowledge, capabilities and experience to meet your expectations – passive or otherwise.
